Lacrosse Training
At NX Level we work to develop sport specific power to help each individual athlete reach his or her performance goals. Power development is accomplished through speed and strength training.
Speed Training for Lacrosse
Specifically, a lacrosse player has to be able to decelerate to an athletic stance to receive a feed to take a shot without hesitation. Acceleration is key in getting up the field as quickly as possible and moving out of a cut with efficiency. At NX Level we work to increase acceleration through:
• Sprint work up to 30 yards
• Plyometrics forcing full stride length
• Rotary core and glute strengthening to improve multi-directional movement and shot speed dramatically.
Strength Training for Lacrosse
Point of contact can be seen or blindsided. You have to be physically strong enough to stay on your feet and keep body control through checks and dodges to set up a feed or put yourself in position for a shot on goal.
NX Level will use all full body lifts such as Olympic lifting, front and back squats, all angles of pressing with bars and dumbbells. These lifts enhance total body development, flexibility, and conditioning for the sport of lacrosse.
