Tennis Training
At NX Level we work to develop sport-specific power to help each individual athlete reach his or her performance goals. Power development is accomplished through speed and strength training.
Speed Training
Specifically, a tennis player must be able to decelerate into an athletic stance, and then explode out laterally or clear his hips to change directions.
Acceleration is key in getting to the ball as quickly as possible to properly take the next shot.
Strength Training
Tennis players must have the shoulder integrity and strength to be able to take shots from angles as varied as a serve to a back hand. They also must have the lower body strength and power to move them around the court as quickly as possible.
We at NX Level will use full body lifts such as Olympic lifting, front and back squats, and all angles of pressing and pulling with bars and dumbbells. These lifts improve
the total body development, movement, flexibility and conditioning for the sport of tennis.
