Brad Arnett

Owner

Director of Sports Performance

Brad Arnett has been working professionally with athletes of all ages to meet their goals for more than 20 years. He was a four-year letter winner for the football team at the University of Wisconsin -Whitewater, two of which as a starter, earned all-conference and All-American honors his senior season, and was inducted into UW-Whitewater Athletic Hall of Fame the Fall of 2013. In late 1993 Brad began his career as a strength and conditioning coach for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Brad Arnett

After completing his degree in Corporate and Community Health in 1995 at Whitewater and his Master’s degree in Kinesiology in 1996 at the University of Minnesota, Brad remained with the University and worked for 6 years as the Director of the Olympic sport strength and conditioning program. Brad is CSCS certified and a USAW club coach.


In 2000, Brad joined the University of Arizona and served as Assistant Athletic Director of strength and conditioning, working specifically with the men’s football and basketball teams as well as overseeing all aspects in regards to the training of Arizona’s 17 other athletic programs.


He opened NX Level Sports Performance in May of 2005 through the present. Brad has trained athletes from every professional organization including NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, LPGA, UFC, Arena football, Olympic medalists (8 athletes that have medaled individually, several others on Olympic and World teams) as well as professional triathletes.


Jake Bodi

Coach Bodi joined the NX Level staff in August of 2005. He holds a B.S. degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning from Carroll College and is CSCS certified. Jacob played football at Carroll, earning four letters, all-conference honors three times and academic all-conference honors each of his four years.


Jacob is an accomplished professional strongman and has competed and placed at the prestigious Arnold Classic. He boasts a +600 squat and +700 deadlift. Jacob has prior worked as an intern with Mike Nitka at Muskego High and coached defensive line at Carroll. He has worked with youth, collegiate and professional athletes.

Coach Hansen has always had a passion for the weight room and helping athletes not just learn proper exercise techniques and movement efficiencies but feeling welcomed and confident when walking into NX Level. His passion originates from his high school experience and the long lasting impact his Track & Field Throws coach had on him. His coach set goals and expectations, as well as boundaries, not only in performance specific exercises but on etiquette, effort, and discipline. It is this type of training and atmosphere that Coach Hansen brings to NX Level. Teaching young, and old athletes about respect, accountability, integrity, and discipline through the use of the barbell and sports performance coaching is at the core of Coach Hansen’s philosophy and the mission of NX Level.

 

During his education at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Coach Hansen studied for a degree in Exercise & Sport Science. He went on to complete the course work in a concentration in Strength & Conditioning, Coaching Competitive Athletics, as well as Recreational Management. He had the opportunity to work with the La Crosse Men’s Basketball program as well log multiple hours in the Athletic Weight Room to observe and coach all different types of athletes at UWL. 

 

Coach Hansen went on to a volunteer internship with NX Level in the summer of 2008, finished his course work in the Fall of 2008, and did his final internship with NBA Milwaukee Bucks starting in December 2008 until the 2009 NBA Draft. He did this concurrently with his start as a Sports Performance Coach with NX Level.


Since his beginning at NX Level Coach Hansen served as the Director of Strength & Conditioning for the Milwaukee JR. Admirals AAA Hockey Program from 2009 to 2015. He has started the NX Level Olympic Weightlifting Team and coached youth, junior, senior, and masters aged athletes to the National level. He is a USAW Level 2 Certified Coach, a Pain-Free Performance Specialist, and has held both his National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) as well as his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Over his time here at NX Level he has trained athletes from middle school into college, and from college into adulthood. He has worked with all different sports and has had athletes in all divisions of collegiate athletics and into Olympic teams.


Coach Hansen resides in New Berlin with his wife, Hillary, and their three beautiful children Cambrie, Cannen, and Crew! 


Jason Roe

Performance Coach

Coach Roe received his Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Wellness from UW-Stevens Point and his Master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from UW-La Crosse; he is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).


While completing his degree at UW-La Crosse, he served as the intern strength and conditioning coach for Women’s Volleyball and Women’s Soccer at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. From 2005-2008 Jason worked at Velocity Sports Performance under strength coach Steve Brown.

Jason is also a full-time staff member at Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. He is the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator for Pioneer Athletics and a lecturer in the Exercise Science program. His course load includes Exercise Physiology, Exercise Testing and Prescription, and Strength and Conditioning for Sport

Coach Shaver received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2013 majoring in Kinesiology with a Strength and Conditioning emphasis. He has obtained a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and has also obtained pain-free performance specialist certification (PPSC).


At UW-Oshkosh, he worked under UW-Oshkosh Strength and Conditioning Coordinator Steve Brown. He also served as a personal trainer, building manager, and front desk assistant for three years at UW-Oshkosh’s Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

Coach Shaver serves as a Performance coach and Facility Manager at NX Level in Mequon (WI). Since joining the NX LEVEL staff in 2013 he has worked with, youth, high school, collegiate, masters and professional athletes. He has also been director of Strength and Conditioning for Milwaukee Jr Admirals Girls Hockey program (2013-2015), and adult boot-camp class (2014-2019).


Johan Horwitz

Johan Horwitz received his Bachelor of science from Carroll University in 2018 with a major in Exercise Science, he worked as intern at NX Level from the summer of 2019 to spring of 2020 and joined the NX Level staff in August of 2021.


While attending Carroll University Johan played football and was a fellow with the RecSports department. He was also a strength and conditioning coach at Waukesha West high school, working mainly with the wrestling and the summer strength program from summer of 2016 to spring of 2018. Johan also worked as a intern with the University of Wisconsin Football program as a strength and conditioning coach in the summer of 2018. Johan has been certified by the National Strength and Condition Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer and by USA Weightlifting as a level 2 Olympic weightlifting coach.

Spencer Draggoo

Performance Coach

Coach Spencer joined the NX Level Sports Performance staff in fall of 2020. He graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a double major in Kinesiology and Nutrition and focused his coursework on strength and conditioning. He had strength and conditioning internships with NX Level in 2016 and with UW-Milwaukee's basketball team in 2018. Coach Spencer is currently USAW Level 1 certified and is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT). He currently oversees the GRB baseball teams' training.


Coach Spencer's background has been focused on sports his whole life. He played travel baseball and ran the 200m and 400m in high school. In college, he competed in USA Powerlifting on UW-Milwaukee's team. Throughout his athletic career and while in college, Spencer learned the importance that strength and conditioning can have on athletes. He believes that being passionate, dependable, and committed to a sport can change an athlete's perspective on their training mentality. He enjoys helping a variety of athletes increase their physical and mental performance and reach their goals! ï»¿


Logan Hughes

Logan Hughes worked as an intern at NX Level during the fall of 2020 and joined the NX Level staff in April of 2021. He graduated from Concordia University of Wisconsin majoring in Exercise Physiology with a Strength and Conditioning and Nutrition emphasis. While attending Concordia University, Logan was an athlete on the football team. Logan is CSCS certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Logan has experience training adults, youth, high school, college, and professional athletes.

Kaitlin McFarland 

Performance Coach

Kaitlin McFarland joined the NX Level staff in July 2022. She graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelors of Science and Exercise Science: Preprofessional and a Masters of Science in Human Performance with a focus in Strength Training and Conditioning. While at Liberty University, Kaitlin was a key contributor to the Division 1 softball program for four years. Kaitlin is an Exercise Physiologist through the ACSM and she is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.


Prior to her joining the NX Level staff, Kaitlin was a strength and conditioning coach at Kennesaw State University leading women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s golf, and men’s and women’s cross country. She also was Director of Sports Performance and Assistant Director of operations at Doyle Academy in Acworth, Georgia.

Manager

Sarah joined the NX level staff part time in 2016. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology with an emphasis in sustainability as well as criminal justice from Carroll University in 2017. She began a full-time position at the Mequon location in 2018 and transferred back to Waukesha in 2019 with a full-time position in management. Her day-to-day operations include scheduling, assisting the trainers in daily operations, as well as administrative upkeep. Sarah is a Waukesha native with a background in competitive swimming. She still resides in Waukesha with her boyfriend and their menagerie of pets.


Kevin Brusky

Sports Performance Coach

Kevin Brusky returned to NX Level in 2023 after previously working at NX Level in Mequon as a Performance Coach working with youth, high school, collegiate, professional and adult athletes.


Prior to returning, Kevin earned his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic from National University of Health Science in 2022 and works at Brookfield Chiropractic. Coach Kevin attended Carroll University where he was a member of the football team while also earning his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2014 as well as his Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology in 2015. While completing his degrees at Carroll, he served as the intern strength and conditioning coach for Football and Women’s Volleyball; he also completed internships at the University of Iowa and Clemson University.


After graduating, Kevin worked at Miles College, a Division 2 college in Alabama where he served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach working with a variety of teams. He is strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and is a strength and conditioning specialist through U.S.A Track and Field.


Coach Kevin resides in Brookfield with his wife, Cassandra, and their son Mitchell.
